| The busy North East town of Stockton on Tees, once famous for its horse racecourse, could also boast at least 3 greyhound tracks at various times in its history, the earliest being located at 1° 17' W 54° 34' N on the Portrack Athletics Ground, off Norton Road. The track was independently run, held its inaugural meeting in 1933, and was successful for a few years, probably closing its gates at the outbreak of the War. |
